Chain of Events

So I went to the store to buy meat, but not any store will do. Had to nag my husband to take me there. It is a special store. They have the best meat in town. We enter the store, as usual it is busy as it should be. Had to grab few spices, and finally saw the meat nicely packed.

Told my husband, “ I found it. Let me go and just grab it and will be done”.

I grabbed the meat, and was going to leave with my husband, but then I saw a sudden commotion. I was going towards the crowd to see what happened.

Suddenly my husband took hold of my elbow and said, “ Let’s go, NOW!”

When we left the store, I asked, “ what happened? I wanted to know, why the commotion.”

My husband replied, “ Do you have any idea, what you have done?”

I said, “ What?”

My husband replied, “ Well, then listen, as usual the aloof you are, as you grabbed the meat, a man was standing behind you. Since you jumped to grab the meat, the man stepped back to give you space and he bumped in to another woman behind him. To make things worse, when the man was apologizing, he pat her back, and the woman got more offended; hence the commotion started. Do you understand, all this happened because of you?”

My reaction, “When did all this happen?!” and I couldn’t stop laughing.

Hanaa’s Bedtime Story

There once was a girl named Hanaa, who loved pink. She wore pink pyjamas to her pink bed with a pink blanket. Hanaa was not feeling sleepy, and staring out through the window in to the starry night. Suddenly, a unicorn came flying in, and asked her if she wanted to fly to the sky up so high…. Hanaa said, “Yes please!” Hanaa sat on the unicorn back, and the unicorn flew up, up and away with its rainbow big wings. The unicorn landed on a big star. The star then woke up from its sleep to start his night to shine so bright. The star asked Hanaa, if she wanted to play with the moon and star. Hanaa replied,”Yes please!” So the star called the moon. The star, the moon and Hanaa played football. Moon was the ball, and Hanaa scored a goal with moon. The moon went flying high in to the big starry sky, and smiled at Hanaa and waved goodbye. When the moon smiled, Hanaa saw the night shining so bright. The play mode Hanaa tired. So then Hanaa jumped on to a rainbow, and sled down right to her pink bed and fell asleep under her pink blanket. The End.

Can anyone diagnose me?

Being from a medical background, I always thought that I am normal. I mean if I did have any mental health issues, trust me, I would know for sure.

Not so sure anymore though. Yesterday, I was home watching tv, but my mind was blank for no reason. As if, no thoughts are running through my mind, suddenly I do not know what to do anymore, and I started to feel worthless, hopeless and useless to the world.

Now I started to think is it because I am 24/7 at home with overqualified educational background which lead me through this despaired blank moment? Cause, let me tell you, that moment of blank mind was scary. Usually a mom of a toddler is suppose to be busy, but I felt like I have no work at all. Life is meaningless. So is this depression?

Then I realized, for the last one month, I keep telling my husband, I do not feel like cooking, just ordering Uber eats, and hardly care what he feels. I do not know anymore if I am depressed or not. Can anyone diagnose me?

My daughter is not smart

So me and my daughter always have this discussion, when I sit down to make her write the alphabet.

Me: Hanaa write the letter H.

Hanaa: I don’t want to, mommy.

Me: If you don’t write, how will you be smart?

Hanaa: I don’t want to be smart, I want to be cute.

Me: Well only the smart girls can be cute.

Then she starts crying and whining saying, “but I don’t want to be smart,I want to be cute!”

So we are going on with this debate, yes-no, yes-no. Along this everyday normal debate I keep working side by side (Mother’s ability to multi-task). As I was working, I was trying to print something, but it was showing error every time I press print. Later, I knelt down to the printer with my daughter and said, “okay, you don’t have to be smart ,only be cute. Now let us check why the printer is not working.” She stopped crying, all happy cause she is cute ,not smart. Came beside me to the printer, Saying “Mommy I am not smart (all happy and giddy), and no papers mommy”.

Me: What?!

Hanaa: Yeah, no papers in printer mommy.

So,yeah my daughter doesn’t want to be smart, she just wants to be cute.
